F*@k You, Penguin! - watch more funny videos
This penguin video was on the front page of Funny or Die! I shot it for the very talented people in the UCB sketch team “Bonafide” and it was a fun afternoon.
Mike is a very funny beard person. This is a little...

I put together a new cinematography reel. I really like putting these together.
Hey, maybe think about having me shoot, direct or edit your next comedy short or web-series.
Sleep Paralysis Caused by an Insecure Demon
Here’s a new video I made. “A man is visited in the night by a demonic force. (The demonic force makes it awkward for everyone.)” It’s a little halloween-y, but right for every season.

Fifteen: The One Year Mark
Monday marked the one year anniversary of my web-comic “Fifteen”. (This is probably my twelfth year or so of making comics in some form? I’m kind of scared to compare this to the first time I tried to go daily sophomore year of high-school… This is the end of this parenthetical:)
I started the comic after a cool friend told me a weird image they have of brainstorming...

20 Awesome Mobster Aliases
So apparently one of the biggest organized crime busts ever took place the other day, arresting over 100 mobsters from all the major New England crime families. There’s been a lot of talk about how awesome their mobster nicknames are.
I took the top twenty mobster aliases and made up character designs for them. Check them out, this is as close to journalism as I get these days.

Nancy Nayor Casting web site
I recently designed and developed a website for Nancy Nayor Casting. A few of the films Nancy has cast include Road Trip, The Whole Nine Yards, The Grudge, Exorcism of Emily Rose and When a Stranger Calls.
I created a clean modern look for her site and set up a CMS to make it much easier for the website to be updated regularly.
And I guess I’ll just mention that if YOU want a website...

Quietly started a web comic
So I started a web comic. It’s daily. It’s all the weirdness of my old political cartoons for The Alligator (America’s “Best” College Newspaper) and NONE of the timeliness or news value or student government references that I don’t even get. Well, who knows, they might be very timely and newsy. And I don’t know anything about any student governments...

"End of an Era"?
Hey, so I moved to Los Angeles, California. It feels like I’m going away to summer camp except the summer camp will never end and all the activities are very adult things like looking for work, um, mortgaging thing, and having minor panic attacks about not being able to imagine a future where I can afford to buy gas.
ALSO, my friend Erik V, who you might know best from his roles as...

Or whenever.

Yesterday's News—Today!
SO HERE’S A THING I HAVEN’T BLOGGED: Yesterday’s News—Today! was a “weekly” web-video thing that TSF Sketch did during the fall. We’d brainstorm jokes about the week’s news events and present them as a government sponsored propaganda video-blog from the future.
I liked doing these, and I think my favorite thing was coming up with the weird names for the...
My 2010 DP Reel

A "New Low" for the Sundance Film Festival
So the film we made two summers ago, New Low (directed by Adam Bowers, Director of Photography: me, cast and crew: a billion awesome people), just got into the Sundance Film Festival.
This is very very very exciting.
It’s part of a special “Next ” grouping of films with low or no budgets.
Been thinking about that shoot. It was a little over three weeks of shooting. We shot...

Unscripted
I made this poster for TSF’s Armando show “Unscripted”— The team improvises scenes based off a monologue from some interesting person.
Here are all the pictures I took for the mouths. It’s everyone from our house except two people.
New Low
This is the trailer for the movie we shot summer before last. Get excited!
This also got us all on imdb, which is cool. Here’s my page.

OFG episode 4: The Rushing Buffalo
Here’s episode four. This show is a lot of fun to make.
OFG episode 3: Head Over Heels
Here’s the third episode of our little TV show.
“When Oppie gets a job working for a mysterious professor, a neglected Gene begins to act out in new, more diabolical ways. Can these friends become family again?”

OFG episode 2: Wirelessless
This is the second episode of our tv show, but in a lot of ways it feels like the first: a lot of the scenes were the very first things we shot. We were shooting for about two weeks before we even cast Cory so it was all JC/Gene stuff.
I’m very proud of a lot of the stuff that we came up with for this episode. Those two montages particularly make me happy.

Oppie Teaser Trailer
Here’s the teaser trailer I edited together for the big tv-ish show I’m working on this summer with a bunch of friends.
Although we’re only about 28% finished, there are constantly moments where I feel really excited to be working on this and to see what the final product is.

Making a TV-ish show
So this summer while I’m still in Gainesville, I’m making a TV show for the dorms with a bunch of friends. It’s a ten ten-minute episode series called “Oppie.” You can follow along at the Oppie Production Blog, we’ve been posting photos and videos and stuff.
Here’s a photo of me taken by Ricky K.

Hawaii Girl: Bomb
A little bit of what I did in college.
I was thinking about college and all the things I did.
I designed my first college poster and then started making a lot of other posters. I started making short films with Upstart, including one where I looked at the clouds. I helped document three Dance Marathons through photos and video, even though I felt like/was an outsider at times.
I was Director of Photography on a 40-minute short, a...
